We have been around for about 3 months, writing, playing and working around on this project, and we've finally hit the 500 articles mark. A good portion of these are FreeSpace ships, as I personally loved this game and a good portion of the mods for it. The FreeSpace section however isn't yet finished, but it's very close to being so. Give us a hand and it might turn out even better.
Starships is all about spacecraft, sci-fi and modelers. So we invite all modelers to show off your ships! Also, if any of you want to cover other universes, I'll be glad to help you out if you give me a message. And some feedback would be great!
Also we would like to thank this great community for its great work, and for the occasional under-cover support. Thank you all!

The Terran-Vasudan War Project is getting ready to release its long-awaited Act II of Chapter 1 as a playable campaign, but it needs your help!  We've set up a private forum to serve as a semi-public beta.  The campaign is in a playable state and is nearly ready for release, but we just need a few people to encourage us to run the last lap.

The Apocalypse Project, an effort to bring the Homeworld series of space-based RTS games into the FreeSpace gameplay style, is actively looking for new members, particularly those with modeling and texturing skills.  According to PyroMX, "The success of the campaign will have decisive effects regarding the direction of the project," so if you have the necessary skills and an interest in the success of this project, head on over to the recruitment thread ASAP!

There's seems to have been downtimes maybe 1-3 times a day. This seems to be a glitch in web server configuration, perhaps an incompatibility with some php application or a bug somewhere. It has been difficult to track down because there's nothing in any logs that would give a hint what causes it. Hence I've made some temporary alterations to web server configuration to revert it back to what it was before Sunday. Currently it performs slightly slower but hopefully it also stops these downtimes.

I'm in the process of preparing and testing a complete overhaul of the web server configuration, which theoretically should improve both compatibility and performance without sacrificing security. Depending on how quickly I can get the new config tested in a virtual machine and whether this temporary config works, there will be possibly 30 minute downtime coming sometime during Friday-Sunday time frame. Once done, I can only hope that'll be the end of downtimes.

There was another downtime earlier today/late yesterday where our ISP made some network servicing.
