yeah, but talk about an hassle just for that... besides in those shows, usually they launch all the fighters at the same time. since you're one of them, they should be all already out when mission starts, since yourself are out already

but... fighters in the matsumoto series are pretty useless unless it's the main character who flies it

doesn't make for a really interesting mod in freespace.
