Teabag, the cockpits are complete sealed units which can be seperated from the aircraft fuselage. Handy for cramped flight decks, and it doubles as an escape pod

OK, here's the pitch - most all the ships from the show are flying in game. Couple of minor things like UEF drones and the Chiggy satellite still to do. Also, a few things not seen in the show are up and running, mainly based on concept art and stuff. I've got three or four oustanding warships to turret and test.
I've gone and aquired a load of hi-res piccies of the planets in our system for background art, along with some hi-res NASA images of nebulas. I'm going to try and combine them with FS2's existing backgrounds, if I can. Also, I've just harvested a crop of sound effects from the internet, I'll be adding those in soon I hope.
I'm starting to think about FREDding, by which I mean a demo. All I've done so far is have a flight of SA-43s defend a convoy of ISSAPCs from Chig fighter attacks... I've been working like a bar steward all week, so I haven't done any more of it.
The main obstacles at the moment include some very dodgy skinning on my part, and some equally dodgy flickering polys. I'm not sure what Star Dragon was doing in this screenie, but on my machine those SA-43s suffer from clipping on their nacelles... basically, unless I can get a pro to sort my polys and skins, then the final product will have some of my bodge-jobs in it
