This is purely what came from canon. I'm not stating anything in this that can't be reasonably backed up by canon.
The Hecate is, in fact, an example of this. According to the techroom, the Orion was the biggest ship in the fleet for 30 years. Assuming they mean 'in the Terran fleet,' and assuming that the Goliath was an Orion, that puts the Hecate at being built in ~2353. This also assumes the Hecate is, in fact, bigger than an Orion. If not, there may be some issues with this.

Okay, anyways, there's a lot of odd things. The contridictions with the Elysium and Thoth, for example. The GTVA existed before BETAC was signed was interesting, and supports some ideas about the nature of the original GTA. The break up of the Terrans into seperate states gives us a much better view of the layout of the extra-solar population of the GTA (rather heavy concentrations in those systems, I would assume), despite the fact that many were over run by the Shivans quite early on.
Somethings that I have learned from this: The Ma'at is the oldest ship in the fleet, period. At least 3 Orions were destroyed in the last two years of the war, compared to 2 Typhons. The Watchdog sentry gun is said to use 'two standard plasma bursts' as it's weapons, when the tables state it uses terran turrets. And the Cain is supposed to have a hangerbay in it (don't know why, the designer said he needed one). Very interesting indeed.
