What program is necessary to see contents font01.vf or to unpack it.

After a quick browse in google, I get the impression that you should be able to just drop it in the font directory or whatever management program you use and it should work...

FontTool2 - A utility used to create a VF font file from a TGA bitmap.

Part of a toolkit for Red Faction, another game from about the same time period as most of the FS development.  The download works, and I'll bet the format is the same.  Or at least it's worth a try.
