Hello all, I've recently downloaded the SCP Derelict campaign (with voice acting) and I've noticed an really annoying bug in the mission Rites of Passage.  I pretty much beat the level, but at the very end of the level, when Governor M'Kembe's shuttle is finally supposed to dock, the docking ports are not aligned for the Luxor and shuttle, so the shuttle keeps bashing into the Luxor over and over again until it dies.  The result is a failed mission.  Is there anyway around this?  I've tried setting all the objectives to TRUE via the cheat codes, and I've tried ramming the shuttle into an aligned path with the docking port on the Luxor, but  to no avail.

BTW, everything else looks absolutely top notch, especially the voice acting and the excellent story line.  great job guys ; )

Any help appreciated, thank you...

huh, it happens EVERY time ? It was a difficult mission (I just beat it) but I didn't have the flight paths problem at all. Have you made sure you have the Derelict SCP patch vp ? Not sure if that will help.

I think it depends which dockpath the escape pod arbitrarily chooses to use to enter the hanger bay that causes the problem.  Most of them are OK, but there is at least one that's not.  And here's where the timing gets complicated; if there's a wing launching as it docks, then the priority for the paths it's choosing to take changes, as does the mission behavior.

So in short, run it again and try to do things just slightly different than you did before.

Yeah it happens every time, and I've tried the mission at least 4 times.  I'll try some more though.  Where do you find the patch for Derelict, btw?

Thanks for the help guys!

The patch is linked to in the Derelict SCP thread IIRC.

Theres ALL kinds of files (mostly changed tables and some models) that you can use to upgrade the media vps all over this board as well.

k, i've downloaded and installed the patch, but the shuttle still rams the luxor with top speed until it dies.  I think I know what the problem is though.  When the creators of Derelict set the shuttle to dock, they set it to dock with the modified Typhon, not the docking ring around it.  Since the docking ring surrounds the Typhon, the shuttle keeps ramming into where the dock point on the Typhon should be.  Instead, it gets a mouthful of dockingring that shouldn't be there.

Oh well, I've tried the mission 8 times already, so I'm giving up.  Wish there was a way to Fred the objectives though.

Man, i was interested in the storyline too ; )

Thanks for your help guys.

I got that bug too.  My solution was to self-destruct the docking ring using cheats.  Cleared the way pretty nicely. :)
