Hi everyone!

Because of long work with Earth Defence MOD, I decided to release Apocalypse III without campaign. It's standalone, total conversion MOD. Now (2007-07-27) some ships are lacking and it is now some weapon entries in the MOD, it is no cutscenes, credits.tbl entries are lacking, species.tbl is incomplete, but you should like graphics, weapons and ships from my MOD. Every FREDer can ask me for the plot to help me in FREDding main campaign or FRED he's own missions and do new stories. You can modify Apocalypse III as much as you want. It's task of your imagination!

Instructions:
1. Extract it somewhere. For example C:\Games\apocalypseiii
2. Run launcher and select fs2_open binary
3. Click run
4. Enjoy! First campaign mission is included! - sp-01.fs2

It would be nice to see your recomendation what should I include in Apocalypse III v2, see your ideas and feedback. ENJOY! Big grin

<evil laugh here> ! Yes ! Me was waiting for this ! But 1 question though - will it work on a ... 'piece of junk' PC ? I mean - a PC that meet's FS2 recomended reqs , no more ?

It works fine on Sempron 2500+, 512 MB of RAM and GeForce 5500 with full details in launcher, 1024x768 and full anti-alias in d3d or highest details in OGL. It should also work fine on lower configurations if glowmaps or other "bonus features" are turend off

Managed to get it to work 

The graphics are nice ( even to me , and I'm running without the shinemaps and etc. ) , but the quality of the first mission isn't good . I mean - there are many grammar mistakes . Anyway , it's a nice idea so continue working on it .

You just have to extract it into your home folder in GNU/Linux, then compile source code and put binaries into AIII folder.

The main campaign will have a lot more missions (around 20) and should be cleared of most grammar errors.

you can make folder aiii and put binaries into that folder.
