It's... interesting...
First mission done, except for briefing/debriefing, but you already know that Stryker.  Please give mission to Bengal for me.

Well,.... dang.... but isn't that a wing commander ripoff?

Lets see... WC possibly rip off their KILRATHI from TREK,

TREK had KIZINTI possibly ripped off from Larry Niven,

Larry Niven invented KZIN (Man Kzin Waqrs series of books - he also made Ringworld/Halo I think) not sure if he ripped off anyone?

Correct me if my chronology is in error...

Tigers are still being considered yes? Or is it only squids now?

If you are going for WWII type battleships (ala StarBlazers) I fully support that!!!

Larry Niven re-wrote his Known Space short story "The Slaver Weapon" for the Star Trek: The Animated Series episode "The Soft Weapon".

Ringworld was an invention of Niven's as a "more practical" alternative to a Dyson sphere. I dunno if Bungie/Microsoft ever paid Niven a penny for it.

He he, they can always claim IDIC (Infinite Diversity of infinite Combinations)

(But then they would have to pay Paramount... -snicker-

Minor update:

I finally got my turrets to work, BUT:
LithUnwrap seems to delete the lights in the model making both turrets one subobject, and TrueSpace messes up the UV map when I try to get the lights back, which makes me stuck once again.

Anyone know how to solve this?

I know this is a little late, and not very important, but maybe you could make the Terran style engine trails orange, there are too many aliens using the Vasudan style spray-of-light trails.

It's not late actually, I still didn't create the species tbl (and that's where the thrusters go)

What about orange Shivan style trails??
Nobody tried that yet.

Also- UPDATE, major this time:

Behold, the first working shotgun of Freespace SCP:

PS- Still can't get the turrets right, help requested.

Tis not quite the first. Procyon Insurgency had one used by the Ancient bombers, IIRC.
