Remember the Ptah?

well, back in the day i made a high resolution texture for it, but was thwarted, as the shinemap was critically misaligned, and i couldn't finish it, as it never looked just right.
Now i have come back to it, and it is time to make a high polygon model of the Ptah, so it can look as good as all the other ships, as well as utilize normal maps and properly aligned shine and envmaps.
Now, i have set up the high polygon model goal, you may ask, "what is all this about redesign?"
well, apart from the top plates, the Ptah looks like a floating greeble pile underneath. My goal is to redesign the undersurfaces of the ptah into a mechanical understructure, holding the plates and underside glowy bits, that still conforms to the original design.

the areas in red will be remade, the areas in blue will be mostly kept, and will be the focus for the new understructure.
this will be my winter break project.
