In a recent hard drive crash I lost the Shivan RBC.  The Annialator that I did a long while ago.
Does anyone around here still have it?

Thanks for fixing the spelling.  the education system let me down in the english and spelling department.

I must agree that it does look a lot better your way.  But texturing is still something that I can't grasp...

I think the original looks more Shivan, because the FS1 Shivan ships will always be the "true" Shivan style to me.

Original sorta makes me think of a terran thing (just the skin, not referring to model) that has been captured by pirates, who gave it a working over with red spray-paint.

Besides, didn't, in the FS1 intro, Lt. Ash say, "...they were these death black ships..."

If you want death black then why not take everything that isn't that predy red nebula texture and put in a pure black on it its place?

park two or three around a node and point them in the direction of the ships you want torn up...  Watch, enjoy, and see your fate.

Annihilator Beams are basically SReds. So each one is like 4 Cains or a Rakshasa with an extra beam cannon.

Rakshasas are weird. They should have 4 SReds since, otherwise, its frontal beam layout is asymmetrical, where the rest of the ship isn't.

guess its for game balance.

Yeah I always wondered why only 3 beams fired. Then the last turret would fart out a little red blob.
