I'm trying to do reskins or Model edit of the following ships

PSIthunderbolt
EAMidwinter
EAHyperion
PSIShuttle

But ive encoutered the following  MAJOR problems:

1) When i open up the following models in POF construction Suite, absolutly nothing shows us
-psibolt.pof
-psishuttle.pof
-midwinter.pof
-hyperion.pof

According to  PCS, these files are empty - no model data whatsoever

I would like versions of these 4 files that i can edit

2) I cannot convert the dds texture files used for the above ships with dds convertor - thus i cant reskin them.
I would like convertable versions of the appropriate dds files

You should be able to open up dds files in Photoshop.

Also, have you tried re-extracting the models you want from the VP to a seperate folder called models?

Ive extracted the models several time. The only POF;s that show data are the ones in the Patch VP. the ones in the Core vp come up like in attatchment below

What are you using to extract them? The core is too large for the older versions of VPview you need the newest one.  It's something like version 2 beta 3.

VPview 32 v1.3 (Build 29) is what opens the core VP and what im using to extract the files.

You need version 2.03.  1.3 can't handle files that big correctly.  That is why your extracted files are corrupted.

Well it's on the DVD but that hasn't been released yet.  Let me see what I can dig up.

I already have two versions

the other is VPView 32 v2.0 Beta02 (Built 102) which crashes whenever i try to  open the Core VP
