Long long ago, VA and Galemp made uglies. They were disgusting, very much so indeed, but a friend of mine (mad bomber) pushed me to make somthing uglier, somthing that looked as though it was part of a debris field, not a craft at all...

It would be rather hard to try and explain it. And even if I could, it wouldn't be funny anymore.

Oh, alright. I'll give it a shot. ApoPerseValkLoki as such doesn't mean anything. But Apo could be a typo of Apu (can be translated to numerous different words depending on the context, so let's agree that it's Auxiliary in this case). Perse is, well, Ass in Finnish. ValkLoki resembles Valkolööki, an old-ish synonym for Valkosipuli, which is Garlic. So, as a result, ApoPerseValkLoki is almost like ApuPerseValkoLööki, or Auxiliary Ass Garlic.

North American indigenous tribes. Although the term "tribe" is not really good term to describe it - ethnic sub-group is more descriptive.

My god, that's too funny. I think I have the basics of UV mapping down now, but I still need to learn how to actually texture the bastard

Looks pretty NTF to me - everytime I see the Herc and the Loki, I think NTF, and this looks like their attempt at a cross between the two...for some reason it looks good...to shoot at ;)
His legacy will last until the beginning.

Most of the Uglies have been kind of... too ugly for my tastes, with this one the extreme example. What I'd like to see would be some SW style uglies, where you have a functional looking ship produced. Maybe strip the big engine pods off an apollo so all you're left with is the wishbone bit and strap on, I dunno, maybe a sideways ursa engine? Stuff that looks functional, symmetrical would be cool.
