So now to answer a couple of longstanding issues with the PVF Anubis. 1) What's up with the dual cockpits? 2) Why doesn't it have afterburners like every other Terran or Vasudan fighter and bomber? 3) Why does it suck so hard?

I give you the PVDr Jackal.



The story is, the Jackal was a cheap, expendable, all-purpose drone created by the Vasudans for training and reconnaissance. Under pressure and lacking in resources during the Terran-Vasudan War, they added a cockpit and life support systems to it and called it the PVF Anubis.

The mesh and your background concept for a drone that preceeded the Anubis are both nice

EDIT: On a side note, the Vasudans didn't call their fighter "PVF Anubis"

Mobius, the creator names the created.  When you make a model, you can call it whatever you want.

Well, there's Scarab....the scarab was a very important animal back then...but it's a support ship...I don't know if a fighter could have a name that is just connected to ancient Egypt and nothing more.

        Scarab gives precedence for non-diety names. Whether it's a support ship or not is irrelevant. Jackal has significance in Ancient Egypt too, not really good significance, since the one website I found the Jackals ravaged graves of the deceased. He could always name it "Domesticated Cat" but that would be goofy.


        Back on topic. Only thing with the Jackal concept though, is if the Vasudans have a drone fighter, why do they carry out suicide attacks with the Anubis instead of the Jackal? Or is the assumption that all Jackals were converted to the Anubis?

BTW, "PVDr Jackal" is something I picked because of its association with Anubis. Virtually all the good Egyptian names are taken. Unless you would prefer something like 'PVDr Canopic Jar."
