Yeah, I think it was called the mk5 or something like that. You mean this one? *Snip Bingo! That's the one, and it looks like the model has been touched up a bit. Very Nice.

Viper MKIV. She's alive and well as Karajorma has shown.

It looks like a really good halfway point between the two ships. I assume its fan created? Whats the specs? How does it compare to the Mark II and VII?

That's not fully decided yet. We're not certain if she'll be in Release 1 yet either (depends on what we have finished and there are quite a few ships higher in priority than that one).

Yeah, you guys will be retaining the same voice acting technique, I hope? Because it was brilliant.

I hope you did and then summarily executed her on the spot.
New voice actors plox.
I like the name though. It's so..... cheesy and forceful to be appropriate to the situation.
At any rate, hope you guys do something good and worth playing. Good lucks.

I truly hope that Diaspora represents all that which BtRL SHOULD have been. BtRL will long be remembered by people such as myself as the finest example of how no matter what you do, no matter how great it might be, if the people making itare human beings of poor character that deserve no respect, ultimately it will be the downfall of them all. This is especially true for things such as amateur fan-made game mods, which depend a lot on fan support. I will finally fly in peace knowing that the Galactica that I am launching from or landing on is not made my Omniscraper. I also hope that this place does not ever make the mistakes that BtRL did, disrespecting fans like no other dev team, and having a more relaxed and friendly relationship with the fans. Additionally, I hope that there is as little drama and as much productivity and enthusiasm and support as possible. It is good to be able to visit the Dev's forums once again, as BtRL's forums were long abandoned by pretty much most fans who had any self-respect, including myself. I wish good luck to Diaspora, and on behalf of the 9th Battlestar Group as well as bsgpilots.com, we fully support you (for the time being ) Keep up the great work and thanx for saving BSG gaming!

Why does this mod seem so elitist to me? Donno...might just be because I got pissed off by the badge-teasing...
We have people from the advertising industry with us. What do you expect? Just out of curiosity, how'd you guys come up with the name "Diaspora"? It wasn't easy for sure. It's hard to come up with a name that refers to the show somehow, is short and easy to remember, is not taken etc. The vote between the final two candidates actually took place just a few days ago.

I think the spirit under which Diaspora is being designed is wonderful. Here's to keeping these high spirits and the continuing love you have for the mod going for as long as possible.

Ten to one if you gave us access to the internal thread, the only reason it was taken was because you all got a hard on for the synonym relating to how you all left BtrL.
