after Friday's somewhat Dekkerless "return of the Dekker" where it was just me and Karajorma, if decided to see who was up for this?

I'll find out who wants to show up then we can haggle over the date.

OK, thanks.

Right now I am waiting for my unemployment insurance check to come in, and for the bank to mail me my new credit card. Once those come in, I'll buy my ticket (a week in advance, for the best airfares) and then will be flying probably to LHR. Thus, I will almost certainly be in Britain the weekend of the 17-18. Later than that I can't say as I'll probably be trekking around the continent.

Any times will do, but I'll have to get to the venue (where is it?) from Aylesbury, likely by train.

We traditionally meet at The Cambridge which is a pub on Charring Cross Road near Shaftsbury Avenue. It's fairly central and pretty hard to miss.

I took a quick look at the Transport for London website and they say that you can take a train from the station direct to Marylebone and from there it's pretty easy to get to Tottenham Court Road or Leicester Square buy underground.

Woohoo! It is ON. I've just booked my flight and bought my Eurail pass.

I will be arriving in Heathrow on Sunday the 12th (Easter Sunday) and helping out my grandparents for that week. Basically I'll be able to get to London anytime you folks are getting together, then take the train to Paris from the pub. All I need to know is when I should be at The Cambridge.

From Paris I'll spend three weeks trekking to Frankfurt, Munich, Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam, and Brussels, then back to London to catch my flight out on May 13. I know there's a couple German HLP members here, anyone up for a visit?

I dunno if this is a bit much to ask, but... would anyone be willing to shack me up for that night? I can think of nothing better than spending the evening at the pub with you folks, spending the night in London, spending the morning wandering around the city, then taking the train to Paris in the evening. I'll even throw in free FRED / Blender lessons. Otherwise I'll just stay in a hostel.

IPA is still ticked off from the recent fallout over TBP so wont becoming.

Still need to hear back from McCall and Dekker...

As for flipside - i dont hold out much hope...but he could still show up to be sociable...(he can drink coke or lemonade..since he's Tee-Total)

A tee-total Dekker? I know I've never met the man, but surely his drinking is compulsory, given his legendary drunken antics!

I was refering to Flipside - he lives in London... Flipside is Tee-Total...But he could still come along and drink coke or lemonade to be sociable...
