We've been secretly working on some pretty nice stuff for Shadows of Lylat.

It has been quite a while since we released the first trailer, so it was about time release another one.

In this trailer you'll see a shot of the starmap, which you will see before you start a mission, as well as some new ice landscape shots.

Our new hompage is up as well! It's still a bit empty, but we'll start adding some more content soon.

...maybe this the right point to mention that we're still looking for coders, scripters and at least one good sound engineer.

Put simply, ****. In a good way. Big grin

Doesn't seem possible in FS, as Battuta said.

Those screensots are just amazing.
I never played any Starfox games, so I don't think I can help you, but I'm waiting for SOL just because of those models (that's the best landscape I ever seen in FS).

No, Nuke isn't part of our team. However, his scripting knowledge alone would be enough reason to let him join instantly, if he's interested.

The landscapes were created by me. Water fixed up some very nasty problems with the ice landscape.

Thanks to the corridor mode missions, we're able to build some fairly complex landscapes without too many problems.

Well, the engine may have some limitations, but once you know what can't be done, you can find some ways around the limitations and get do what you want anyway.  Actually, thanks to the long development time and the number of coders, from all over the world, the engine has a lot of smaller, but pretty interesting features. I.e. what you might not even have noticed. We've used animated normal maps for the water.

We've been sharing some ideas with Diaspora. And the Diaspora coders worked on some features which SoL will use as well.
Nothing of that can be seen in this trailer, but you should expect to see some interesting things in the next trailers of these these two projects.

LOL it is highly probable that SoL will be the best Star Fox game EVER, and it's not even a licenced game, and it constitutes copyright infringement XD

I watched it like 400 times. I"m so happy *tear*.

Ahem! I wonder if some music will have canon StarFox music embedded in it, but remixed.

Glad to see people are finally waking up to just how hard SoL are pushing the engine.
