Re: Interval-Based Countermeasures
awesome debug session there

My tests with heatseekers seem to match the results from here; i.e. without multilock, weapon-create'd heatseeker missiles were successfully decoyed by weapon-create'd countermeasures (50 seeker strength vs 200 CM effectiveness)

Re: Interval-Based Countermeasures
Given the extreme number of changes to master since these test builds were made (they predated the SDL2 merge, even), I've updated them. As an added bonus, I've also included a set of 64-bit builds.

And what about capital ships and their subsystems, as well as those smaller ships, fighters and bombers included?

Re: Interval-Based Countermeasures
Bumping this because I've uploaded a fresh set of builds. If people could do some countermeasure testing with them and report back, that would be fantastic (sorry, Spoon, I still haven't had a chance to take a look at the multilock heatseeker bug yet; it's on my to-do list, though!).

Re: Interval-Based Countermeasures
What about capital ships? Are they capable of launching interval-based countermeasures?

Re: Interval-Based Countermeasures

Of course; it's not like countermeasures follow different code paths depending on the ship they're launched from. They don't even have to be launched from a ship; they can just be spawned in the middle of empty space.

Given that quite a few bugfixes have gone in since my last set of builds, I'll be making a fresh set today.

Re: Interval-Based Countermeasures
Dahblount fixed the heatseeker issue for me (<3 thanks blount), and the pulsing interval actually makes heatseekers bloody work as you'd expect them to.
