Title: B5 Star Fury Mission Pack - 12 missions
Post by: madaboutgames on August 04, 2008, 09:54:11 pm: The Babylon 5 Star Fury Mission pack has been updated and is now a whopping 12 missions :)

An exe installer is being made for it and will be avilable for download in the next couple of days.

The old 6 missions which where in the pack have been totally renewed and modified :) + an extra 6 canon missions from the B5 series.

If you want to fight in the battle of the line or you want to fight the shadows or even potect B5 against an alien fleet or Clarks forces, there are missions here for everyone and they are all canon :)

Heat Em Up team is without a doubt one of the most dedicating team to TBP community... Well... apart from TBP team, duh, but seriulsy, where would we be without them? I would propably still playing Drums of war because i`m not good with FRED, but many others would have propably gone to some other game and let TBP collect hard drive dust (with the execption of the thursdays).

Post by: IPAndrews on August 07, 2008, 03:54:46 am: I'm still not sure about the Drakh in a View to a Gallery :P. Ever thought about doing a version of the final battle with the Excalibur and the Drakh from the Crusade series, or the Thirdspace aliens in ... erm... Thirdspace.

PS: I know it's the done thing to refer to Thirdspace as Turdspace but I quite like the scene with Zack in the lift with Lyta.

You need to go to the tech room, then load it through the mission simulator. Also make sure the single player missions is selected and not campaign missions :)

THIS IS A MISSION PACK, NO CAMPAIGN! Which means you need to play them using the Simulator.

Go to the Tech Data (via main menu), then click on Mission Simulator, afterwards switch to SingleMissions and TADA you can play!

But seriously, I should have figured that out. Not having played the game in a while, it just completely slipped my mind that there were single missions in the simulator.

But it catches your eye, hopefully preventing any other players from having the same problem.

The only real complaint you could get out of this thing is been too realistic sometimes, I mean waiting for 10-15 minutes before the action starts in some missions is just killing me, but no other complaints...

... Becouse blasting Shadows out of the sky is good enough for me :yes:.

Post by: Stormcrow on September 10, 2008, 08:32:20 pm: Phew, I just tested Severed Dreams and Shadow Dancing (two of the battles I like the most), and boy! especially SD is a tough thing. I mean, the Spitfires are nice and I love to kill them, but the Scouts (at one point, 4 of them going after WS 52) have so far proven to be a real pain in the lower backside regions.
The thing is, I manage to avoid their fire for most of the time, but at some point I always end up with few friendly fighters left and all of the Scouts hunting me. Even in a Nial, it's hard to escape this web of fire, and since 2-3 hits are enough to blew you out of the sky...

I get better every time I try, but still, is there some advice you could give me? I really like this mission, but I'd like to see it through ;).
