I have sme questions to ask, so i hope you all will help me
my questions are :
1- How to write the name of a ship (Orion, Fenris...) on it structure ?
2- where can i get some Command Brief annimation ?

What do you mean in number 2? Do you mean custom or retail?

Alright, retail Command Briefing anims are found in the "tango" vps, and in custom mods, they should be in "visuals" or "assets" etc. under cbanims.

what about making a squadron logo
how to make one ?

EDIT : i made my *.dds file
but FRED2 say that he don't detect the file
where i have to place it, than the EDITOR will be able to locate it and use it

and i don't find the texture "nameplate" in the GTD orion O_o

Where did you put it to begin with?

The way  did it was by making a 128x128 image with a green background, putting the squad logo over that, and saving it as a .pcx. You put it in /data/players/squads.

Make 128x128 px image [or bigger. 256 or 512] with alpha channel instead of green color, and save it as dds in DXT5 format.

in the "replace texture" of the GTD Orion i don't find "name plate"
how can i add my name plate now ?

you just type in the filename of the new texture
the orion is weird in that it doesn't have a nameplate texture

it's capital01-05 or something, and includes the background nameplate box in the texture

Export base capital01-05 from MediaVPs and make your nameplate on it. Orion uses non transparent nameplate that is dedicated for this ship
