General Discussion / Re: What animes/series are you watching right now?
« Last post by TechnoD11 on October 21, 2018, 11:47:31 am »
Been watching through a curated list of anime this past year; recommendations coming from here at HLP and from subreddits for the series that I liked. So far, I have in total seen (in order):
Space Battleship Yamato 2199
Legend of the Galactic Heroes (OVA + Movies)
Arpeggio of Blue Steel
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Hunter X Hunter

I found Arpeggio and Kancolle to be wholly mediocre and mostly just tried them out of my interest in naval history. FMA:B and HXH were excellent. I even started reading the HXH manga that Togashi has been updating to stick with the new arc.

However, I would consider none of these to be my favorite, as that distinction goes to the collection of Ghibli films that I just finished watching over the last 2 weeks. I'd heard of the minds of Miyazaki and Takahata before but never gave them any attention. That was a mistake. Those were some outstanding movies, from Nausicaa to Kaguya.
Going to be taking a bit of a break for a week or so to focus on my research, but the next on the list is Death Note. I've heard good things, so we'll see.

As for non-anime related entertainment, Downton Abbey has recently caught my attention. Didn't think I'd ever care for the lives of English nobles or that they'd be entertaining but this has been an excellent series. Just finished season 2 and will be starting season 3 shortly.

That is all  :D

It is the shorter one.   I watched it all the weekend it released in the UK.
Can confirm it's the OVA version, at least for Malaysia (I doubt they'd release things on separate licenses, especially since I believe the series version is on the youtube channel).

While we're on Netflix, apparently they have released the Korean film version of Jin-Roh. Titled Illang: The Wolf Brigade, the effects look, well, okay I guess. And the sewer scene is there. I haven't sat down to watch the whole thing yet, but maybe sometime soon.

he wont responded if i pmed him
You can modify /usr/bin/knossos & remove "override_dh_link" from the file and (for me at least) it'll work as expected.

Or if you don't want to modify the file, just run this from a terminal:
Code: [Select]
python3 /usr/share/knossos/knossos/

You are a genius, thanks   ;). Now knossos starts with no problem, and without the annoying  warning too!

You could always just lower the difficulty for that mission.  Or cheat (I kinda prefer that to skipping a mission, honestly).

Oh. Please don't cheat. You might mess up the "journal" entries and entries in the techroom and some weapons or ships will not be unlocked.

By the way, how do you do that?
General Discussion / Re: Windows 10 Update Deleting Files
« Last post by MitoPL on October 20, 2018, 07:46:26 pm »
There was quite a fuss about that, and some time ago EposVox posted a video on that:

The contents of this video speak for themselves and the **** happening around here is really disturbing.

Do note: this update seems to have been fixed nearly a week ago, so it theoretically should be safe to install, but I'd personally wait a bit more time to make sure nothing goes really wrong again. The same creator posted a video about this (
And yeah, that alone won't give you your files back, I suppose MS could get your device to a data recovery center, but you need to make sure that you don't overwrite the stuff you've lost, so turn the device off if possible and leave it until you hear from them.

Knossos 13.3 works great and thanks again for your amazing support.
Great, hope you're having fun with the game!

Question: where are the pilot profiles stored as I did a full uninstall to kill the issue BUT the pilot data remained...are they stroed in the windows user profile?

I've missed this game of a simpler time.

Thankyou all.
You're welcome.  :)
