Re: Crash when playing Blue Planet WiH "Aristeia"
Code: [Select]
Searching root 'D:\Games\Freespace 2\blueplanet2\' ... 55 files
[...]
Searching root 'D:\Games\Freespace 2\MediaVPs_2014\' ... 221 files
That's still an awful lot of loose files.

Code: [Select]
Found root pack 'D:\Games\Freespace 2\MediaVPs_2014\Rak_Ultra.vp' with a checksum of 0x0ccbbc15
Found root pack 'D:\Games\Freespace 2\MediaVPs_2014\SathMod.vp' with a checksum of 0xbd01c0f0
Found root pack 'D:\Games\Freespace 2\MediaVPs_2014\SobekMod-FTW.vp' with a checksum of 0xcadfbfeb
These shouldn't be needed, either.

Code: [Select]
  -noparseerrors

Re: Crash when playing Blue Planet WiH "Aristeia"
That log doesn't actually record an error...? It just stops after loading UEDSolaris.pof.

And you still have redundant VPs and a load of loose files:
Code: [Select]
Found root pack 'D:\Games\Freespace 2\MediaVPs_2014\fs2_primaries.vp' with a checksum of 0xbfadf6e9
[...]
Found root pack 'D:\Games\Freespace 2\MediaVPs_2014\SathMod.vp' with a checksum of 0xbd01c0f0
[...]
Searching root 'D:\Games\Freespace 2\blueplanet2\' ... 56 files
[...]
Searching root 'D:\Games\Freespace 2\MediaVPs_2014\' ... 67 files

Re: Crash when playing Blue Planet WiH "Aristeia"
That log again doesn't record an error...

By chance, is this "crash" a "FreeSpace Open has stopped responding" message during the loading screen, after you, say, clicked on the screen?

If so, try touching absolutely nothing while the mission loads. Don't press any keys, don't click the mouse, don't even move the mouse.

Re: Crash when playing Blue Planet WiH "Aristeia"
It starts giving me an error about some of the subsystems on the Kent no being linked (looks as if its some animation  thing) and then it crashes

Re: Crash when playing Blue Planet WiH "Aristeia"
It looks like adv-bp2-cockpits.vp includes its own version of jackal-E.pof that may be broken.
