Scarlett Johansson has been cast as The Major for some Ghost In The Shell project, according to some entertainment sites.

I think she can do the role well enough that I'll enjoy it. And I'm pretty sure I know why she was cast over some of the others. (The Major was very tall for a Japanese woman.)

But I still think I would have preferred, say, Rinko Kikuchi instead.

I watched "Erased" the other day. 'Twas awright. Could've done with a bit more exploration on the Deus Ex Machina plot device, and the mystery wasn't very mysterious when I guessed who the killer was on their first appearance, but it was awright.

Meanwhile, I watched through KonoSuba (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!), which was as amusing as it was explodey and predictable, and picked up Re: Zero (kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu) which seems to have something of a similar premise, but also rather different as far as everything else goes. Should be nice as a series to watch as it's coming out.
