This isn't a problem I need a solution for, I'm just curious why it happens and if anyone has any insight.
I have this game, and if I try to play it when Windows is ready to update, I get told I can't because it's not installed correctly. I figured out the application file gets deleted. I can just copy it in from backup, but here's the even more curious part, if I try to do this before doing the update, I get told I don't have permission to, even as administrator. I can copy that file onto the computer elsewhere, including in a folder inside the game folder, but if I try to put it where it belongs, it won't let me. The first time it happened and I was trying to figure it out, I started a few other games and they played, so it's specific to this one.
