Was that Face on Mars a natural thing or alien made?

Some say "ancient civilizations."

Some say "sand dunes."

I say "The beginning of Photoshopping."

It is a natural formation. But if you go close enough and look at it it does in no way look like a face.

I believe its some rock formation or same hill that, when lit from a certain angle, resembles a human face.

Anyway, Mars is deader than a rotting corpse.

You did hear that awhile back they discovered, bactiria I think it was, in a chuck of rock that was from Mars?

In the last few years they've discovered proof of "life" in a form that way and if I recall a atmospheric scan of Jupiter showed the nessecary elements for single cell life floating around. (something close...sorry i'm trying to recall stuff from several years ago )

Oh yeah. Now I remember that bacteria thingy on Mars. But the one about Jupipter I'not sure. However, they did say that if Saturn's moon called Titan or something had heat, it could support life because of thew atmosphere.

They discovered fossils of bacteria on Earth from a meteorite in the South Pole or something. They determined the meteor had come from Mars.

That's pretty well known. But obviously, even more well known is the possibility of life on Europa (which has a lot of ice, and probably some water under there).

Now if the Jupiter just exploded into a second sun, only weaker...

Well Jupiter's long been thought of has a failed Sun, or the other going theory is it's a "sun in progress".

Course if it did one day just ignite, while it'd be wonderful and all with new life on other planets, we'd all get tanned really fast

As they say even a slight shift in Earth's orbit closer or further from the Sun,..that "little" change, would devestate us. So imagine doubling the Sun.

But as far as the search for Ex-life, my trusest belief is simply looking at billions of stars at night, nowing most could have planets orbitting them, there as to be life somewhere, I mean, even if mnkind was a one in a billion shot, there's way more systems out there than a billion   Sides, we've yet to truely explore another planet.

I mean ,..the panda bear was a mythilogical creature up until what like 20 years ago or something? If we missed something like that big furry guy in over a thousand years of ppl roaming China, whos to saw our "circled Mars a few times Satilites" didn't miss something?

Ok ok ok I know I know "Warlock shut the hell up"

Heheh. I used to read stories about Europa a few years ago - intriguing.

What do you think of wormholes? I really wonder if we will be able to control them in the near future and use them to travel... elsewhere.

Wormholes seem kinda iffy to me.   Even if you did survive what would have to be incredible gravitational stress, the one-way trip wouldn't seem like NASA's most cost effective mission idea.

Oh yeah- if Jupiter somehow DID become a second sun, there shouldn't be any shift in Earth's orbit at all. The mass should stay the same, so the GForce on Earth wouldn't be any more drastic than it already is. Won't happen though- Jupiter is quite a bit too small still, and it isn't getting any bigger.

the bacteries on the mars asteroid comes from earth indeed   ( the one who found them and claimed: whouhouhou!!! alien form of life! must feel kinda stupid lol)
If jupiter turned into a sun (but I can't see how it could), it would be cataclismic: all it's satlites would be melted by the warmth, the solar winds -wish meets the ones from the sun- would eject everything from their orbit ( gee, asteroid rain from the asteroid belt   )... Well I don't want to be there to see that

Solar wind isn't THAT strong.   I remember reading a sci-fi short story(Arthur C. Clarke, I think) about using solar wind to power spaceships- and in that, it took big, ultralight, several mile wide sails. And they only accelerated at about a 10th of a G.

And, lest I start seeming too pessimistic...
The chances that life exists somewhere is extremely good. In our own solar system, we have maybe even three bodies on which the ingredients of life exist- Earth, Mars, and maybe Europa. Three chances for life in one system, one of which can really support it, and suddenly life doesn't look so impossible to support after all. Intelligent life is another story, but if we DO develop resources for fast space travel, then colonizing other worlds is a definite possibility.

solarwinds are very strong at the scale of a planet. About wormholes, well they havenothing to do with black holes, so i'm not sure about gravitational stress
But he, we came a bit far from the former subject lol

Solar winds are feeble.  Only during the T Tauri stage do they actually do anything more than annoy.  You don't see all those satellites being blown away do you?
