I love drawing, and I'm not bad at it. However, buying a tablet is so expensive... I once (7 years ago) bought a simple wacom tablet that hasn't a "screen" in it, just the touch pad. And it sucked, for I have to look up while drawing down (I can't draw like that). Then it was stolen. Oh dear.

What kind of gear do you use? Is it expensive? I love my pens and pencils, but I do envy the ability to just put colors and random tools with one or two clicks and not go through all that **** about digitizing the work, clean it, rotate it, etc.,etc.

It's not cheap. Not counting the price for a copy of photoshop the tablet itself could easily reach more then 200$ depending what you are buying. Not easy to use either, it takes a lot of practice to use it decentl.

If you really want to get into it bad and have a crap ton of money, you could go for a Cintiq. It's 1000 bucks though. The thing is a touchscreen monitor tablet, so it's reasonably meant to be costly...

Now, the Inkling is a mere 100 $ and it might actually fall more into what you need. It's a pen that records what you draw into something you can port into a PC for editing.
