I am getting frustrated by this Mod. The game crashes at random when clicking on next, components, purchasing mechs, modify mechs, add pilot. And when the game crashes I reload the game and I cannot purchase mechs or components. Worse yet the will crash 95% of the time when i go to save the game. I uninstalled and reinstalled and have not modified any files and still run into all of the above crashes. I like the game but its to the point I can't complete a campaign cause I have to reload and do the mission over and over and over. I am already running as a admin and have not run the game in compatibly mode. Is there anybody with any suggestions?

what is your computer config, resolution, etc.  While I have not seen the severity you have mentioned, those details will be needed to possibly resolve.

Easy problem is having to quick-save the first time you run, because there is a resident quick-save file from a previous version in the 344 download.  Doing this avoids an inadvertant crash.

Don't reuse mec variant names you have already used in a given campaign.  Known bug that is most likely fixed in the new release (pending).

have NEVER seen a crash in the pilot sreen, either in 276 or 304.

Advice, get a fresh download of the game before re-install, or revert to 276 until the next release.

Note: 276 has a bad habit of loosing money if you buy resources and then toggle back and forth between screens.  THis problem does NOT occur in 304.

My Computer config:
Win 7 Pro 64 bit
AMD FX-4100 Quadcore 3.6 GHz
16 Gigs of Ram
ATI 5880 HD Radeon

Monitor set to 1920 by 1080 but the game will only let me run in 1440 by 900 x32

I have Re-downloaded and did a fresh install.

I will download v276 and see what that version will work.

I figured out how to buy components and mechs after reloading. Click forward till the I get to the screen were I can buy mechs. Click on Purchase mechs, cancel back all the way out to the select mission and then click forward to the Purchase mech screen.

What is your desktop resolution?

If your desktop resolution is set to 1920x1080 then the game cannot run in 1440x900.

Do you have any programs running in the background, like internet browsers, skype, or some some system mechanic programs. All of these can cause crushes.

Uninstall then delete install folder before new install.

I have re-downloaded and reinstalled( both 276 and 304), deleted all old folders, set desktop resolution to 1440 by 900. Now the game will save without crashing but will crash on Launching a mission( both versions) about 50% of time. I only have Microsoft Security Essentials running in the back ground. I also have ran the game on my wife's laptop and run into the same problem of crashing on launch on hers too.( Don't know the spec of her laptop at the moment) Just before writing this i was playing and got a crash to desktop for the first time no error message.

Don't know if this will help. This is what Event Viewer read as a error. Its the same error i get everytime.

Everything works fine on load solo mission or campaign.

Crushes every time you try to load solo mission or campaign can be because of incorrect purchase files, have you changed some of the purchase files?

That may be it. I did have some old purchase files that i forgot to delete. Will delete those and see what happens. Thank again

Hi there Magic, Starman , et all .  I'm was a fan of MC2 , and love very much wat u good folk have done for this game.  MCO is simply awesome !     Ok so my question is , the pilots promoted Specialty Skills window , when i mouse-over , the small text describes a different skill.  So which one is the correct ? the main window or the smalltext window ?  And how do i rectify if the latter ?  Thks !!
