Re: FS installer not completing - failed to download
Last question because I did not find answer elsewhere; What main 3.7.4 pack do i need? Windows Standard is default, but AVX, SSE, No sse, and FreeBSD.

Just Windows Standard.

Re: FS installer not completing - failed to download
On wxLauncher, I go to Basic Settings, and i look for FS2 Open exe, and only options are 3.7.4 AVX , AVX Debug, and 3.7.5 (x64 JAD) SSSE2

Which is "windows standard'?

None of them... but if you can run the AVX build, you should just use that instead. If it crashes when you try to launch it, then you should re-run the installer and tell it to install Windows Standard.

Re: FS installer not completing - failed to download
Finally got it working. Turns out 50% ish of my downloads did not fully download right. Had to use the 'mirror' site to find out what was not installed.

I had this problem.  Is your Java up to date?  That fixed THAT issue for me.  Others followed.

Re: FS installer not completing - failed to download
Java should be up to date.
The launchers should each have a message of day added in, about failed downloads, and 'check the mirror site', update java, etc.

But most things are up and running fine, so all is well. The unified launcher is a great idea. I appreciate all the work put into it.

Re: FS installer not completing - failed to download
So, I recently ran into this problem as well, and so should I just re-run the launcher I just downloaded or is there some application I run in the folder itself?

Sorry for the necro, but I would rather just bump this similar thread than make a new one.

Re: FS installer not completing - failed to download
Is it exactly the same problem described in the first post?

It could be caused by many things: temporary network problems, temporary file hosting site problems, bandwidth restrictions, etc.

If you post the list of files that failed to download, we can tell you whether you should try downloading again or whether it's fine to continue as-is.

Re: FS installer not completing - failed to download
What I wouldn't give a an easy-to-use P2P hosting backup that could actually be centrally managed (as then, we could all act as mirrors).  Yes, I know, no one can easily poof this or it would already be poofed, and of course I can't contribute, so I'm just whinging pointlessly.  Sorry.  :sigh:
