Weird graphical glitch with Spec mapping
OK, I know this should get Mantised, and it will be, if it turns out not to be something well known and easily solved

This is with spec mapping on:

Weird transparency issues. Turn the spec mapping off, and the transparency goes away, but then I get weird shadowy lighting:

Using Windows 8 on this system and 3.7 RC2.

Question is pretty much whether or not this is a known issue, and whether or not there's an easy fix if it is. I'm hoping it's a driver issue, but I wont be able to check that with the latest ones until I get back home, as the internet up here is very tightly limited in what I can download, and the 200+ MB of the latest drivers are pretty much out of the question. So, anyone seen it before?

Can't say that I have. Could you post a log that includes going into a mission with affected ships?

Also, does this happen in the F3 lab as well? If it does, could you experiment with shader flags and tell us which combinations work and which don't?

Driver issue would be my guess as well for this.
