Given the fact that FL has been delayed, I'm asking the people here what content they'd find interesting to see up here.

All ideas, assuming they're reasonable, (that means if you want to see Balder's Gate stuff, we're not likely to take you up on it) will be taken under consideration.  That doesn't mean we'll actually do anything with it, but it will give us an idea of what people are interested in.

Preferably something we can mod.

Thats what we'd like to know... Personally I think: Independence War 2 and X-Wing Alliance could be good bets...

There are already several XWA editing sites out there, especially X-Wing Legacy.
But I would also say XWA

I think any of the Planet* sites should be let alone considering their hosting

This is a good point.  Something like Quake is probably done to the extremes on 3Dap.  However, that being said, if we can do a FS-Q3 conversion, we could possibly get it hosted on a dedicated quake site and thus we'll be helping out the community as a whole, and also get promoted as the site that came up with it.  Sounds slightly backwards, but that can be option B for a quake conversion.

For XWA, I haven't checked whether they have a 3Dap XWA site or not.

And IW/IW2 doesn't have one, unless it's been added just recently.

So XWA is a possibility, and IW2 is a good possibility.  (It's also turning into my pet project here, but I wasn't going to mention it right off the bat and bias people)

If there's more, keep it coming!

I'm for that. What we have to consider in any other game is that we would be new to that area, and there others who are already established, but the above idea (kinda) solves it.

I really want to see what we can do with IW2. That is, if many of us can run it

They're always far off with those things.  For a start a 28.8kb modem will be crap, a 4x CD drive is hard to believe and the main specs will be the absolute minimum for jerky play.  And everything installs greater than 250MB these days.
