One of the groups in my embedded design capstone class built a radar system. They should have gone a step further and implemented a radar-guided AAA platform to intercept these microdrone abominations.

It isn't the drones fault that their users are being complete douches about safety and privacy. Also doesn't help that there is an official stigma against microdrones now. FFS.

.... It's a flying camera. And you don't have to control it. It wouldn't be a very good camera from more than 500 feet above you.

Myself and a very lovely gal I know are slowly but surely becoming much more intimate as the days pass
Significantly better adjusted than the previous "best friend" of mine and a whole helluva lot better

Also applied for another course for digital animation, hoping that pans out for the better. Previous one didn't, unless they're timidly holding onto it for whatever reason. Meh.

As for that copter that flies and ****, I would totally take that and fly it over a propane tank which has a roadflare and is about to get shot. The footage of that would be... absolutely explosive. It would set fire to my heart as I watch in complete awe

Would also totally attach balloons to it for moving target practice

Not sure where I could do either of that safely yet though. Need more rain dammit.

I also want to take a go pro and attach it to my head while playing piano

Quite a few alternatives have gps and or smart subject tracking already. And 500 feet is amazing for bird's-eye and landscape photography. I'm experienced with most photography from studio to crufts and college too. Action cams are good and all that, drones are great and I recently had a good go at aerial videography not far from my home in the lake district and I'm not knocking them at all, but this individual model seems gimmicky by removing the finer control from the end user. At least aperture control should be available. Or an offset from subject with focal lock.

Yesterday out at the beach, saw something odd in the distance. Thought it was probably a stage set up for a beach concert. Approached, and discovered it was in fact an LCAC parked there. No tank to go along with it unfortunately.

Over the course of the last 5 days I:
- Became an Eagle Scout
- Received the Rensselaer Polytechnic institute Medal (RPI Medal, $60k scholarship), The University of Rochester Bausch + Lomb Honorary Science Award (nominated for $40k scholarship), and the MIT-NEST Promise of the Future award
- and Aced my principles of engineering, AP physics, and AP calculus exams

So, uh, yeah. It's been a pretty awesome week.

The closest my school came to that was you could register for classes at the local technical institute for high school credits, but they did vocational education, blue collar type stuff. I graduated 8 years ago, though; things change.

It's funny, the make up classes they offered at my school were all computerized, I wish they offered those as the actual classes, I could have graduated in a couple months with a 4.0 and more credits than I knew what to do with, instead I was stuck trying to decide whether I wanted that one AP course or the equally interesting elective that occupied the same slot on the schedule.

Oh well, **** happens, we move on.

So anyways, I've been musing a bit lately, One of the people I play EvE online with says, "So it goes," with extreme frequency, and the guy on a youtube channel I watch has "Whatchacallit" as his personal version of "um"
It's made me wonder what my frequent phrase that's unique to me is.
