fsport no asteroids
got to the second mission of FS1 on FS2open and there are absolutely no asteroids in the asteroid field, only on the backdrop. im curently downloading the most current vps and putting them in the mediavps the instructions said to create.

will this solve my problem?

Please post your fs2_open.log file.  Instructions on how to do this can be found in this post.

Also which VPs are you downloading and in which folder are you trying to place them?

It's in your launcher settings. You probably have the flag "Use the old collision model" set. It's somewhere near the bottom of the list. Instead check the "Disable GLSL Shaders" flag (or something like that) or just write -no_glsl into "Custom Command Line" field.
How do you kill a hydra?

thanks dude that did the trick! it was in the troubleshoot list in the launcher.
