Linux questions

Some questions:

1. Can Linux users play against Windows and Mac users, and vise versa?
2. Is there a service for Ubuntu similar to GameRanger on Windows?
3. Are people using GameRanger for the Beta, or is the official lobby preferred?

You should be able to play against anyone regardless of the platform they are on. Not sure about the other two since I'm not familiar with GameRanger.
