Re: Independence vs. Diablo problems
umm, what patch?  I downloaded using Turey's installer a couple three months ago.
Could we with ink the ocean fill, and were the skies of parchment made
Were every stalk on earth a quill, and every man a scribe by trade
To write the love of God above, would drain the ocean dry
Nor could the scroll contain the whole, though stretched from sky to sky!

Re: Independence vs. Diablo problems
The SCP patch that makes Inferno R1 SCP compatible. You should find it in the Inferno site.

Re: Independence vs. Diablo problems
I am having the same problem, slightly different. In my game the Diablo has turrets alright, but they are all at 0%!
Yes, I do have the SCP patch.

Re: Independence vs. Diablo problems
That problem has been found many times. Extract the mission from the VP (putting it in the <your Inferno mod folder>\data\missions folder), open it in FRED, go in the "Mission specs" editor and remove the "Red alert" flag.

Woo, how about a stickied thread about this commonly found problem?

How do you extract the mission then reinsert into the vp file?

Re: Independence vs. Diablo problems
You need a VP Editor. Most use VP View to extract and view files from a VP. VP View can't put something new into a VP (which is annoying), but all you'd have to do is move your modified mission to data/missions (make sure that this is a mod-specific data folder, not the main one).

Re: Independence vs. Diablo problems
Better than another 10 threads asking for help on the same problem.

Re: Independence vs. Diablo problems
Shivan's Freespace 2 installer also has a working version of Inferno which does not seem to suffer from this problem. I managed to finish the entire campaign. Although I am a little disappointed with the ending.

Re: Independence vs. Diablo problems
lots of people say they don't have any problems with inferno, but some people have this problem, which is why this is sticked.

Re: Independence vs. Diablo problems
Is there a particular build of FRED I need to use to do this, because I'm getting craploads of errors when I open that mission.  (Actually, when I open ANY mission from this campaign.)  I'm using the 3.6.9 final release at the moment.

Re: Independence vs. Diablo problems
You need to make sure FRED is loading the Inferno files. Whatever mod you select in the Launcher does not affect FRED.

To tell FRED to load Inferno: create a shortcut, right-click and go to "Properties". In the target box, after the filepath, put "-mod INFR1". (Note: the "INFR1" part should actually be whatever your Inferno folder is called). FRED will then load Inferno when you open via that shortcut.

Re: Independence vs. Diablo problems
thinks this be a lot more usefull if someone fix's the mission and puts it up for download

Joshua sees everyone looking at him

Joshua doesn't have freespace at the moment! look at someone else!
