It's time to show some in-game shots, previous ones were renders. Also, previous ones didn't have the lights - I set up a light rig and baked glow maps for the game model. All are taken from the game, first 3 from the lab, the rest from an actual mission. No hot Cylons babes were harmed during the making of these screenshots.

First time in-game? Perhaps. It's not as close to being done as the basestar, which is why you only get to see it from the distance, for now.

One thing I've noticed is that a lot of people seem to panic about FPS when they see this ship I've tested the basestar on my not-so-new system in a variety of missions and found no FPS problems. And the thing doesn't even have LODs yet, plus I was using tga's so no mipmaps yet either. Final version will both have LODs and dds textures with full mips so I wouldn't worry about the FPS. Current systems are able to handle large amounts of polygons - and a space game is specific because there's no environment to be modeled - a starfield or a simple skybox does the trick most of the time. So we can have a bit more detailed ships without any problems..
