I'm going to record some lines tomorrow, but first I have a question about this:
"This is the Leeuwenhoek. Our power grid can't cope with the strain! We're losing patients, damn it!"

How is Leeuwenhoek pronounced?

And shouldn't this be linked or moved to the voice acting forum?

Yeah, seriously.  The major roles are comparatively reasonable, although a few are individually lengthy, but this list is something else altogether.

Audacity to record. Keep your voice quiet, it's easier to amplify than to remove clipping.

Completely forgot to ask before....
So we are only to send in ogg files? Because I use a programm that saves only as wav, though I can convert them to ogg myself no problem, but I don't know wether it would loose quality that way.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I would record in lossless format and compress that into zip, rar or 7z.

Whether you send oggs or wavs is not important, as long as they fit in the space limits Iss mentioned above. However, one thing you shouldn't do is send in mp3s, as reconverting them to ogg is one unnecessary loss of quality we'd like to avoid.

There's no worry about that from me. I can convert them directly fom wav to ogg, but as I said I don't really know much about converting, other than which buttons to hit, so I'm not sure wether that conversion would be lose quality or not. I guess I'll just send in the waves to be on the safe side then.

I would recommend converting them at something like 192 to 256 kbps, that way you won't lose any quality.

As long as the recording is clear, without background noise, it's good.

My very first post.

I have, for a number of years, followed these forums from strength to strength, and played serveral mods, but never felt the need to join until I played this one. I am amazed at the level of effort and time that has gone into this and the enjoyment it has provided me (for free!). It is an incredible thing.

I lack the technical skills to help build a mod, and do not have time to learn, so I have today submitted a few meagre lines from the above scripts as a VA audition, as a little contribution to help, should they be of any use.

  By submitting lines you are giving us permission to use the lines without further notice to you.  We will of course credit you in the credits of the mod for the lines that we do use.  As such make sure you indicate in your submission e-mail that how you would like to be credited.
