That ship looks really cool. I like it! The arse on it reminds me of the Sulaco outta Aliens... in fact the general profile of that ship gives me that feel. I've always thought the Sulaco was a very cool looking ship as well!

Ok repackaging the Moscow as the GTCv Ophion.

Heavily-armoured warship conceptualised as a next-generation successor to the Deimos corvette, with turret loadout to reflect this.
Designed to get in close and wreck ****.

6x MGreen
6x Standard Flak
13x Terran Turret
4x AAA
2x Hornet box launchers

Also packaged with PBR maps.

Might make a wiki article later.

EDIT: So I heard talk that this ship was undergunned for its size! Added two new heavy beams and five blob multiparts.

Well... After a long time I've noticed pretty strange problem. This model was designed and later modelled with no any turret setup plan at all. My older conversion have this problem as well. I know fixing this would require remodelling whole thing, but currently every turret setup will look generic o___O.

I've noticed wiki update, redownloaded this and I must say I'm impressed by new multipart turrets. Both beams and flaks. Great designs! They only need somewhat better smoothing.

At the other things, mod_strip texture is not present in the package. Can we get it?

The turret smoothing is pretty terrible. If you can point me towards some neat multipart beam turrets I'll use that instead.

I'll update the package with the missing texture.

As far as I know, there are not many multipart beams available here. TBH I doubt if there are any.

Gimme flak texture and I will resmooth both of them for ya :D

I will take care about some things that require addonital work, like smoothing, LODs, debris... Yup. After some inactivity, I'm trying to be awesome again :D.
Darius, I have question for ya. This model has a hangarbay but geometry of the ship does not reflect it anyhow. Fighters just start from random plate underneath spinal part of the ship. Can I modiffy the geometry to add some good hangarbay?

I'd definitely support something like that.

I had played around with adding BlackWolf's Deimos fighterbay module to the underside of the prow, but because I have no modelling skills it was nothing more than a hack and an unhappy fit.

I already have it with remodelled hangarbay, LODs, resmoothed LOD0 and turrets. Deimos's debris were removed and I made my own ones. They are still far from being dream debris at all, but I kinda like them. I also remapped missile launchers and made a new monopart turrets to decrase number of individual textures used by the model:

To be done:
- Turret setup [started]
- Nameplates
- Reconversion.

I finished :D

Changelog:
- New LODs
- New Debris
- Resmoothed
- New monopart turret models
- Remapped torpedo launchers to avoid too many texture entries.
- Multipart turrets resmoothed
- Minor texture adjustments, like horizontal-going windows on the bridge
- Fixed mass
- Fixed dockpoints
- Proper place for hangarbay
- Nameplates ^^
- Probably also other fixes that I don't remember at all.

It's a drag'n'drop replacement for older model. Hangar placement may minimally affect mission balance if you use it, as it's facing front in my version.
Probably needs testing. Anyway it's ready to smash some 'buntu marauders ;P.

Edit: My package is just pof. In that case it will require proper rerelease.
