UPDATE 01:
DRAFT of first 2 Missions attached.
GTI Bretonia included.[/b]

COMMENTS WELCOME.

THIS IS A DRAFT. - UPDATED FILES RE-ATTACHED. LOTS OF MISSING MESSAGES INCLUDED, DEBRIEFING CLEANED UP,ETC.
Mission 1 is a setup type, lots of talky-talky.
Mission 2 kicks it all off (after a bit).
- M2 will lead directly into the Gamed Mission between Lepanto & Rodo.

Currently no ship selection, briefings/debriefings - to follow, maybe.

Mission 2, you can TAC-JUMP in mission after a certain point (a directive lets you know).

Summary/Update thread for a short-med GTVA-NTF campaign I'm developing.


Answers to Questions:
The campaign will focus on the inital surge of NTF success, leading up to the turning of the tied where FS2 kicks off.
Player will be on the GTVA side initally.
I hope to offer the chance to  "defect", which while very cool, would also double up my work, so...here's hoping!

Bosch will be a peripheral figure - I dont want to mess with or attempt to reinterpret Canon.

Style-wise, I'm going for a more cinematic experience than most other mods.
My background is Film & TV so the cutscenes will be of great interest to me, as a development tool and as an exercise.

The GTI Bretonia is a regular science installation. It will be a centerpiece of several missions.

Initally this will be just me working on it.
However I will almost certainly ask for some voice actors later - I find silent mods a little dull.

The name source will be revealed during the campaign.

The GTI Bretonia is a Blue Planet asset, but Im going with the idea that its a familiar template, used throughout the GTVA.

Im not entirely certain if BP mentions it as being specific to Sol post-capella?

It's not a BP asset - BP doesn't really have 'BP assets', they're almost all community models. Even if it were custom made for BP by Aesaar or Esarai or whatever, you could still do whatever you want with it, it's your mod.

Exactly. C914 is the original creator of the Bretonia, so credit him.

ah- to clarify, I was talking more about being canon in the FS2 universe.

Which side is the player on, and what does the campaign focus on? Are you planning to describe Bosch's plans into the details? Are you playing around with FRED and scripts to ensure an original gaming experience?

Also, how do you make the Bretonia fit in a FS2 era campaign? Is it going  to be a supersecret installation?

Is this a solo effort? Why did you choose the title Ex Orbito?

Just FRED a campaign that's fun for you and learn from the feedback. This is your project, and you're not beholden to anyone else's ideas of what you should or shouldn't do.

Probably the same way everyone else adds stuff into the FS1/FS2/Reconstruction era - if anyone asks, then of course they were always there in retail, you just never happened to fly any missions near them in canon campaigns. :D

Updated - first two missions & basic campaign file attached in FP.
CF made in retail Fred2, my Fred2_Open CM does not see my missions, bizarrely.
