There is no Homesick forum. So I am posting here.
The mission Return to Oz, where you run past the Genenas. The GTIC Cruiser with beams is supposed to be lured out. Well, I have tried the misssion about 12 times. Every 5 times, it gives option to skip mission. Clicking skip mission goes back to briefing for the same mission again. Am I missing something?

I vaguely remember that mission. Why are you failing it? What does the debriefing say?

We supposed to get the enemy Aeolus away fromt he Custodian. Stay within 2km. But that ship moves close to a Science Cruiser, and the beams and turrets and flak from the 3 Myrmidons and the Aeolus and the Arcadia rip my Herc to shreds. Its just so dam stupid. When I blink, all my shields are at 0% and my Hull is in the red. Also, all my teammates are always unhurt. I sometimes get to the Cutodian jumping out, then the Shield, a Fenris cruiser I am supposed to guard gets destroyed by Aeolus beams.

I remember disliking that mission. In the end I just hung back and let my ship-guardianed (i.e invulnerable) team mates do all the work while concentrating on the Custodian and Shield themselves

U mean Alpha 3, Beta 1, and Beta 4? All the ones who talk? No wonder, they never get hurt

I never had a problem with it.  You don't have to lure it for very long, and the last time I tried it the Custodian jumped out just when I started enjoying myself.  Lure it *behind* the station, then you can bugger off and it can't hit the Custodian anyway.

I just hid within the docking platform of the arcadia on that mission, at one point i hopped out and totaly wtfpwned the aeolus.

I think I was using disruptors/ahetons....

No kind of Subsystem damaging wpn avaible in that mission.
Its the Subach, Mekhu, or the Prometheus-R.

But you don't even have to engage the cruiser: I just lead it on for a bit then turn around and kill the fighters.  Before I can kill them all the Custodian jumps out, leaving me a bit disappointed.

Sounds like a corrupted campagin file to me.

I beat it by heading up and over the two science cruisers, and engaging the fighters protecting the Aeolus, and then after all the enemy fighters engaged me, I sent all the wings to hit the aeolus, and I fled. By the time the enemy myrmidons broke off of me and engaged my wings, they had already forced the cruiser's departure, completeing both the bonus and the secondary objectives, making the mission a cake-walk, if you can get back to the Custodian in time and kill bombers and fighters like no tomorrow, though. And this was on Hard. Keep in mind: All your wings (with the exception of Beta 4) should have Hercs maxed out with Hornets to do this, what 'you' fly is up to you I guess.

I beat it after a few tries... all I had to do was order my wingmen to disarm the Mammon and then it departed. Of course, I died fighting off the fighters after the MCv Custodian departed, but... eh, what'cha gonna do about it?

I just go absolutely ape and blow up whatever I can in this mission (science vessels, cargo, et al.) and then have my wingmen go after the Mammon while I handle the fighters.
