OK, I'm trying to solve this problem whole day and I'm not really making any progress, so I'm frustrated to my limits... I'm playing this MOD and when I launch mission Out of the dark, into the night game crashes every. Single. Time. Now, I've tried reinstalling, I've tried deleting files according to various advices, I've even tried run the game (before reinstall... I haven't had the opportunity after) on another system... I kinda suspect graphic modifications to cause this, but turning them off (at least those which I've installed later) didn't do anything, as well as ... reinstall. No message after crash. It launched in software mod, but it was incredibly slow and crashed after a few seconds anyway

Windows Vista home
Intel core duo T8300
2 x 2 GB DDR2 memory, 667 MHz
NVIDIA GeForce 9500M GS
DX 10

Can you play the main FS2 campaign with no problems? In other words, is this crash only happening with the Port?

Stormkeeper: No problem wih other missions.
Galemp: I didn't want to play FS2 till I finish first, but ... I have tried it, played a while, it crashed. Strange thing is, it crashed again in mission with jump node - can something be wrong with big green graphical thingy, which is used to show nodes?

edit: No system settings changed

OK, in that case it's a problem you're having with FS2 Open, and not with the Freespace Port specifically. I'm gonna move this thread to FSO tech support.

try out another executable.
3.6.10-20071007T debug gave me the same thing with jump nodes

The latest is fs2_open_3_6_10-20071028T.exe  try that... if not, then try using fs2_open_3_6_10_debug-20071028T.exe (the debug version) and when it crashes, post \FreeSpace2\data\fs2_open.log here.

isn't that the one I mentioned before ? =) I can't see a jump node with this one, it always crash when I try.
go THERE and try the one available there, tell us if it fixed the problem.
It's the only version which makes everything work well with my SCP.
