No sound ingame with HDMI through GPU

Hi all,

I'm trying to play but I got no sound with my gpu outputting sound to my receiver. All other games are fine but not freespace. In audio options I have generic sound device selected. Im using my GTX 580 as an audio passthru!

Any input on this?

I'm not sure about this, but have you tried disabling your main board sound feature, or switching it from the sound control panel?, that might do it.

It worked fine for me when I did it a while back, and I have a 560. Make sure you have Generic Software on [instert name of your sound speaker device thing here].

In audio options, do you have other devices?  Generic Audio Device might be your sound card and your HDMI might be another.  Not sure, but check.
