I have Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog and I cannot get it to work with FreeSpace2 Open, because it does not let me to use my throttle quadrant and joystick at the same time - I have to choose which one I want to use. I would like to use them both!

I even created a profile in Thrustmaster Target software that combines them virtually into one controller (there is only one joystick visible in windows controllers manager: "Thrustmaster combined", but FreeSpace 2 Open still sees only one of them. Any solutions?

What do you mean exactly by "sees only one of them"? Since you merged the two into a single virtual controller, I would expect that this is exactly the sort of result you should be getting... do you mean that even after taking this step, you're still not able to bind the throttle axis to anything in the game options?

I mean that even after merging them together using TARGET software, only one responds (in my case it is throttle) and assigning buttons and axes to joystick does not work :/

People have had similar problems with a single joystick
the solution was a new pilot file (from me)
I will try and find the post that tells me what file I need to upload

Post says put in  freespace 2\data\players\single\inferno
but the pilot I created was in  freespace 2\data\players\   (possibly because I have switched to the wxlauncher)

try both (dont forget to unzip)

you can clone the pilot name it anything you like and rebind the keys but dont touch the throttle axis

ps: before you start
game controllers -- properties -- preferred device (make sure your virtual stick is selected)
