There are a lot of different trouble-shooting guides, etc in the web. So it would be foolish to re-type all of that here. Instead I'm providing you with links to some of those guides.

Also, your BitTorrent client of choice's homepage should have guides that are directly related to the client you are using. Not all clients are the same, so it's recommended to take a look at your client's homepage when you have problems.

Don't be alarmed about lenght of those guides, BitTorrent is very trouble-free peer-to-peer protocol once you get initial firewall setup done. It is not quite as easy as clicking a http or ftp link, but both http and ftp distribution methods would very quickly consume a lot of bandwidth, which Hard Light Productions cannot afford.
