RELEASE: The Aftermath Reboot
ShivanSlayer:
Played the first 2 acts and it looks AMAZING with the top MediaMVPs. I did have that problem other people had with the rescue mission in Act 1 where the Corsair doesn't move, but I used the 5-time suicide trick to skip. That wasn't one of my favorite missions anyway
CT27:
Thank you MJN! :)
In the last update (end of July 2022), Herkie changed things slightly...he no longer had a two files "V1" and "V2" for the two campaign versions. He combined the two campaign versions into one file (the newest "V1") but had two campaigns selectable in the campaign room now. I hope that didn't complicate things for you since that's different than how things were organized in the last update you did for us (back around April 2022).

Wait till you get Act 3. It get pretty crazier from there on. Act 1 is just Richter's merc missions, nothing special. There are the most simplistic designs ever made because it's just the first missions, sort of a introductory missions for new players. Then the campaign escalates, the chaos gets more chaotic.
The mission "Client Rescue" in Act 1, the one with the Corsair doesn't undock, I can't figure out the bug since I can't really test it (I can't run FSO 22). The mission works perfectly on my end (using FSO 3.7.4). CT27 is the one doing the tests for me and report the bugs. On my end in order to do the fix, I have to make logical assumptions. It's doing the fixes without the benefit of testing it myself. And so far, aside from that Corsair mission, everything is fixed and they work.
Anyway, that Corsair mission is just a story mission foreshadowing TBG, the sequel. Donald Esquire has a critical role in TBG. In AFR, he is just a passable character.

I have played this before, although it has been a while and it wasn't with these top notch graphics. It's as hectic as I remember, but it feels harder than it used to be though
