Title: Stable build 12th March 2008
Post by: karajorma on March 12, 2008, 02:50:23 pm
Here's a build with all the multiplayer fixes I added for TBP but this time in a 3.6.10 build. Additionally I think I may have fixed Mantis bugs 1601 (http://scp.indiegames.us/mantis/view.php?id=1601) & 1421 (http://scp.indiegames.us/mantis/view.php?id=1421) in the process so I need people to check if they are really dead.

I included FRED as well since I was in a good mood. Here's (http://www.freespacefaq.com/Misc-Downloads/Builds/TBP_Fixes_In_3_6_10_Build.7z) the build.

The only other change from SVN  is a slight change to the way messages work if you turn traitor. It shouldn't have any effect on any existing missions unless they already had a bug where you'd still get messages after you turned traitor. It's not my fix but it happens to be in this particular tree so you get to try it out too.

Nice one
By the way, is the SVN repository available for the public yet?

At the moment, no. We're in the middle of a bit of reorganisation.

We still have to move some things around, but that starts this weekend.  The stable branch will get moved and will be ready for public use by late Saturday.  The unstable branch (ie, "HEAD") is going to be moved and marked as read-only for about 2 weeks to facilitate the extra reorganization that it needs.

*hijacks thread*

I have a build that's seven hours more recent than karajorma's, so :ha:. :D

Download it here (http://fs2source.warpcore.org/exes/latest/20080312-Goober5000.7z).

*Repels boarders*

Given that nothing has been added to SVN in that time the question has to be just what do you think you've added? :ha:

Exactly one bugfix; and it's so trivial I forgot to add it to SVN -- thanks for reminding me. :) It fixes a bug Ransom Arcehin noticed where modular ship entries with flags don't replace the flags in the original entry.

Well get that bug fix in SVN and I'll recompile mine. Cause those fixes for those Mantis bugs really need testing before I commit them.

If i understood that correctly... I hope no mods have then used the option that it just used to add the listed flags to pile the existing flags...

Does it include Track IR support with some fix about a framerate issue ?

Nope. TrackIR support has not been committed to our source repository. As for the framerate issue, I'm still looking into it.

:necro: The download link is gone. If this isn't a good build to use, which should I use?

IIRC This one (http://www.freespacefaq.com/Misc-Downloads/Builds/Is-Player-Build.7z) is newer.

Newbie question. In which folder and where should I include the latest build? (Why aren't these downloads included as optional in Turey's installer?)

This goes in root, select the .EXE in the launcher. These aren't included in TUrey's because they aren't official builds.
