Sadly, the game still crashes during M6 on my machine after applying the patch (Linux Mint 13, x64). Gonna try the debug build and post the log and specs.
EDIT: So in the end, for me the normal build crashes basically randomly between the third baseship appearance
and the FTL drive failure dialog
. However, the game didn't crash even once when runned in debug, but so far I always got killed, so I wasn't able to test the whole mission yet.
So far, I noticed these in the debug log:
SOUND: sound/ds.cpp:1268 - OpenAL error = 'Invalid Operation'
