Applicants will be given a trial period prior to getting full access to the game. This is to prevent time wasters and those who are only trying to get access (Most of the team have experienced problems with people like that in the past). The length of the trial period will be based on the job being done, how well the applicant works with the team and how much progress is made. Any work made during the trial period will of course be credited if it is used in the final game regardless of whether or not the applicant makes it onto the team, provided the artist in question gives his/her permission.
I think it's an :ick: for all standards really.:(
:(AGH DON'T BAN ME PLEASE!!!! :shaking:
Any room for ''light'' FREDers? How do you FRED light, anyway? :p
As the man himself said, there are two types of contributor. There are 'contributors' and there are contributors. 'Contributors' contribute nothing but contributors contribute something. If you're the former, then there's no place for you in any project.
How do you FRED light, anyway? :p
I want to really CONTRIBUTE and be an active member of NTV. Is that clear?Dammit everytime I try to be witty I end up offending someone...
Ok...Droid, are you available to test it and give me some feedback? :)
When I opened it up it crashed on me. I used 3.6.10 open and debug. And just for the heck of it I also tried 3.6.9 but it couldn't find it. Other than that it looks pretty good. Hope this might help a bit... :nervous:

Well, I could manually remove them all, but that's just annoying."Annoying" is par for the course in campaign design. ;)
Well... anyway, I am starting a mission now...
I've been working on this for around 3 weeks now. Hope that's long enough :nervous:
Don't rush your missions, either. Give your best and test them extensively(intense testing leads to FRED edits that improve the mission). ;)
Also, can I base the mission on the fs2 campaign?I don't think you need to prove your abilities with a mission about a battle with the Sathanas. Try with something else, if possible.Spoiler:e.g. the battle with the Sathanas
I'm editing right now, I'll put it up in a couple minutes. Thx :)I lied... (Takes a long time to debug and add final touches.)

I would like to have FREDders that don't rely on testing so much. IMO it's too easy to come out with a simple mission and ask the others to fix it...I've experienced it before and I don't want to experience it again, when possible.
Good point, the Knossos could be unknown, but in FS2 its IFF was friendly. ;)
Here is the mission I've been working on. I've been de-bugging for some time now so I hope there aren't any bugs left.Hint: By right-clicking on "when" you can use 'Add Operator' to do more than one action for each event. You'll find it'll be a lot more efficient and easy this way.
I realize that. I just didn't take the time to edit it. It's also all the ships that are in it that racks up the size. Here is the mission I've been working on. dragonsniper: Your mission makes use of the GTF Kelpie and the new score features so I couldn't play it.. It should be on FSO standards with no mods.I checked and couldn't find any Kelpie. Will it affect at all if I have the Transcend VP folder in use so I can play the campaign? And does "the new score features" mean music played from a folder instead of a soundtrack?
Romanmolf: I didn't notice major changes in your mission...
So THAT's why its huge! That, an the absolutely insane amount of fighters, bombers and caps in the mission......
I know it's a lot of ships, but atleast I didn't put FRED's limit of ships in like I was going to do. :drevil:So THAT's why its huge! That, an the absolutely insane amount of fighters, bombers and caps in the mission......
Can someone test it for me, please? :)
Droid, are you there?
So... my mission was... practicly... good. :nervous:It was okay since you're only a beginner FREDder but later on missions will have to be more complex. But don't that get you down, it was a good enough mission. :)
Now that's a normal size.I agree with that.
We are the pirates and we are going to kill you. MUAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
I could change the name of the event if it'll make you more happy.Quote from: Your MissionWe are the pirates and we are going to kill you. MUAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
I think that's a bit unrealistic...
The mission itself is a bit comfusing (dozens of GTVA, Pirate, Vasudan AND Shivan fighters and bombers killing each other to pick up 1 cargo container just doesn't look right) .
I have another mission here if you want to take a peek. I hope it's better than the last one. :)Yep, it is a lot better. :)
Romanmolf, I think you need more practice. I'd suggest you to take a look at the FRED Academy...as soon as you get more experience and I'd be happy to get you in. :)
You posted a mission about 30 days ago. What did you do in the past month? What happened to your FREDding skills? What exactly do you mean? Do you mean that it took me WAY to long to FRED this mission (which I made in under 24 hours. The rest of the time I spent working on other small mission for myself,) or do you mean my FREDing skills are worse than they used to be?
Do you mean that it took me WAY to long to FRED this mission (which I made in under 24 hours. You just doomed yourself with this line.
You just doomed yourself with this line. You mean you haven't been able to fred something in less than 24 hours without any bugs???
Hope you don't mind me trying again. :)
-And finally . . . there's no way of winning the mission. When the Aeolus tells you to depart, your warp drive is locked so there's no way of escaping.
And Mobius is asking what you've learned over the last month, not questioning your speed.
