Ok i havent seen a topic on this, but Syfy is canceling the Expanse after series 3, which i didnt even know it was a Syfy made show, as in the UK its listed as a Netflix show. Which is very sad, as there are so few proper sci fi shows out there. The expanse is beautifully written, acted and shot. The music is awesome and its a sci fi show that actually tries to base its self in realism. ie zero G effects on the body, the weapons the ships use, which exist in some form today. Watching the show has also brought me back to play Freespace, and even fredding and modding as the stories and the space battles inspired me. so please if anyone here watches the show please sign to try and save the show. If Brooklyn nine nine can be saved why can't the expanse.

if there is any consistancy with the Shivans, it's their lack of consistancy - -Norbert-

the books are very good, but the TV series has made a lot of changes, which arent bad in fact they are some really good changes. There is still tones of material for the series to work with, I havent even seen series 3 as it wont appear on UK netflix to prob august time. What clips i have seen is that the 3rd series is even more epic than the first 2.

The show is made by another company, SyFy was just the distributor.  The show is currently looking for a new home, which I really hope it finds because its awesome and we deserve a sci-fi space series that is truly good that makes it for its whole run.

I hope Netflix with pick up - this is best Sci-Fi show since BSG.
Not to mention it's something fresh with no pew-pew-pew lasers not aliens that look like humans with funny ears/noses (that's also the reason why I loved BSG - no aliens and railguns/missiles flying everywhere).

The space battles are simply amazing!. Flying in paper thin ships (due to mass/thrust limitation) that can literally be made swiss cheese with bunch of vulcan turrets. Railgun round flying straight through entire battleship. Brutal!

Not to mention "Game of Thrones" intrigue (minus incest) between space cold war superpowers.

The leading candidate at the moment is Amazon (who holds the US second-day streaming rights). According to Jim Murray, the Props Master, Netflix isn't interested (they already have product).
If you don't have Knossos, you need it.

Important note: if anyone who watches the show here can watch it live, do it. Apparently driving up the ratings (and getting the DVR crowd to watch it live instead of waiting till the weekend or whatever) is the best shot at saving the show. If you can, DVR it too and watch it within 2 days. Also watch it on Amazon/Itunes/whatever (if you can)--the goal is to drive up the numbers.

If you can't, well, social media exists. Maybe give a yell.

Just got an update on the petition, it's gone past 50,000 signature! Not sure how many is needed but that's an impressive number for a short space of time.

It'd be a good move for Amazon. Then, they could carry on with them the sci fi bonafides by buying the rights of Rememberance of Earth's past trilogy and make three season shows out of it.

Before they do that, however, they should get some of the properties they have in production out the door first (IIRC, they also want to do a Consider Phlebas miniseries; I definitely want to see that happen)

Apparently Amazon are in talks to revive The Expanse, which one of the article comments put really well:-

I hope the "talk" with Amazon goes well.
