Those pics aren't very good quality. I have a hard time making out some of the ship, especially in the darker pics.

But they're not at all bad.

I made a lot of renders in my day (about 3 months ago  ), and I'm still a regular at about 3 sci-fi art forums.

I've been trying to make some new ones, but I found out that the B5 jumpgate model I used was missing a rather integral texture, thus spoiling a scene I'd been working on for a while

I'll try to find some of my better ones. I think most were lost in the great cleansing of my harddrive.

The second two seem very dark. I had to highlite them to see what they were of.

Truth be told "The Encounter" was mean't to be dark, I don't think it was mean't to turn out quite that dark, but it did  

And the Alliance fleet pic at the bottomw seems ok to me...not dark at all

The Encounter is slightly too dark, and the poor picture quality makes it even worse. Except that that might just be my monitor.

Keep in mind that most of these are pretty old. And half of them were practice renders.

Thunder.....what format do you want the Alliance ships as?  I've already got some converted with turrets added and damaged sections removed......something you forgot to do to the Endeavor.  (oops.....)

"The Encounter" is a bit too dark. Normally I could recgonise a Perseus right away but for this one, I had to take some time to stare real hard. The Alliance fleet picture is also a bit dark but a bit better than Encounter.

Can you imagine what would happen if StarLancer meets FreeSpace 2??

I don't know why everyone is saying the Encounter is too dark, it looks fine to me. I recognised that Perseus straight away (I only know one ship with fins like that).

Point taken -but it's meant to be dark, to add a moody feel - I guess it didn't work to well
