On our airplanes forum, a guy posted a link to a nice freeware flight simulator, YsFlight.

Obviously, I quickly downloaded it. The graphic may not be so fancy (reminds me of the old releases of Flight Simulator) but it is very funny!!! Especially in multiplayer: the game features a lot of planes (and you can download more ), from airliners to fighters, and it's fun to dogfight in multi.

hows the flight model? fairly accurate or shoddy as hell?

The flight model is simple, but this does not mean that you can't stall...

I played it as well, it's fun to take on the big bombers in a F-16.  I'd like to play some multi sometime.

Oh, sweet. Downloading now. Man, those graphics are awesomely terrible; back in the day on our old 386(running 3.11, if I recall correctly) we had two awesome games: Stunts(anyone else remember that?) and an old MS flight sim(I think it was MS). I wasted so much time playing those.

Stunts? The racing game where you could build your own tracks with jumps, loopings, corkscrew and other cool stuff? If it's that game, I had it too on my old 386!

I don't know where you get all those new ones. I got that realism pack and all the ships in it, but thats all.

You know lots about airplanes and stuff, so on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the most, how realistic is this? It can't be much, because I can still manage to fly in it...

Well, since I manged to pull 60 G with an F-16, I made strange maneuvers witohut stalling and I landed it almost vertically, I'd say 6. But it's fun, I even joined a multiplayer squad.

Any RL pilot that could say more accurately how much this game is realistic?
