Found a nifty little program that lets you adjust your audio with pre-amp + a graphical EQ (low - high range).

http://sourceforge.net/projects/equalizerapo/

Works with Win 7-10

Needs a graphical frontend, so put Peter's Equalizer Peace.exe in the \Program Files\EqualizerAPO\config directory and use that to set everything.

You can set an option under "Peak value meter" to prevent clipping -- but, if you notice it clipping (play something while adjusting to see if it does) you should probably pull the pre-amp down some (pre-amp is at the top).

But it's still useful for those quiet YouTube videos that are so darned annoying cause you can barely hear them in a quiet room with the audio at max.

What's even better is that you can play a sine wave using some online tone slider / generator and remove unwanted peaks and increase bass in the null from your room. Once you get the bass relatively flat, you'll love it :-) And you will no longer have to listen to that "boooh" sound due to the 100hz peak of your sub each time you use afterburners :-)

Sweet.  :)  You should put up a how-to video on YouTube and link it here.
